As others have posted, Juliet Izon tweeted that she was interviewing Richard Armitage today. Seems like he is in NYC!
Coincidentally, I received a message from the New York Comic Con about guests to that event. I asked:

Hi, Marykate!
I have seen the guest list so far, and I am wondering if there are other announcements to be made. Of course, there are no guests from The Hobbit that have been announced, which is very disappointing to me. I am happy that Torchwood has some representation, but really am disappointed overall with the guests that have been announced. It seems to me that other Cons have much better Entertainment guests than NYC Comic Con, which is mystifying to me. I think NYC should be equivalent, at least!, to San Diego!!
Just asking if there are other announcements to me made at this point. Thank you so much for your response!
The response from Ms. Nagurney:
Every guest announced so far is on the website. Stay tuned for more website adds and announcements, I think you’ll be very pleased with the guest announcements we’ll have over the next few weeks!

I am so hoping that she means that some guests from “The Hobbit” will be announced over the next few weeks!!
I had previously asked:
“Hoping that you will have some of the people from The Hobbit film at the New York Comic Con. They seem to be everywhere at Cons this year!! I would especially love to see Richard Armitage, Thorin from The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I have my 4 day ticket already so, whatever. Just hoping. Thank you!!!”
To which she replied:
Thank you so much for reaching out regarding NYCC! I hope we’re able to deliver what you want for the show this year, especially with The Hobbit being so significant this year! Keep the suggestions coming as you have them and hopefully we’ll be able to build a great show for you and the other fans this coming October!

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you! If all goes to plan, you will be our ears and eyes on the ground, reporting back all salient details. Have you seen the videos on YouTube from the Hobbit panel at DragonCon? Lots of fun stories and tidbits.
Woo hoo! I am ready to be the intrepid Armitage Army reporter, Katherine, if only…! We will see what happens. Very anxious for this “announcement”!
I took a look at their website, and I’m going to want all the Jack and Ianto glorious goodness at the very least, please.
Oh I will be SURE to deliver on that! Love them and I am very excited to see them. It will be the second time I see Barrowman – saw him in San Diego some years ago. He is so, shall we say, extroverted?? 😀
I’m keeping my fingers crossed but, boy, do they know how to keep cards close to their vest 😉 Spill woman, spill for the good of the entire Armitage Admiration Army!!! Where’s a pair of loose lips when you need them?
do you regularly attend events like this, or will this be your first time?
I’ve been once to the San Diego Comic Con – wanted to see Doctor Who stuff and Joss Whedon stuff – and MISSED seeing Hugh Jackman – and I’ve been to the NY Comic Con many times. It’s gotten really enormous now though. Never used to be sold out, but since San Diego CC has exploded there’s more interest in NYCCC. I usually take my niece and my friend’s daughter too.
we have the Star Wars convention here in Indianapolis but I’m always afraid to go, like they’ll all know I’m an outsider as soon as I walk in the door. I can hold my own in “Star Wars Trivial Pursuit” though, so that should count for something, right? *laughs*
It’s fun! Silly fun!
Ooooh, more guesswork… the suspense is on again. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Thank you! *_*
